Join the EVENTS TEAM team at our exciting entertainment complex! THE BIG CHILL is a family-friendly venue located on scenic Hwy 30A, nestled between Alys Beach and Seaside. Our property hosts 6 restaurants, 2 bars, retail shops, an arcade, an amphitheater for live music, and a 25’ LED Jumbotron for sports & movies. We provide a fun and lively gathering spot for families and friends to enjoy good food & positive vibes!

Position: If you enjoy creating fun and excitement, connecting with people of all ages, and getting a party started, this is the role for you. This person will be the life of the party, ensuring family events are full of energy, laughter, and lasting memories. This is an hourly, event-based position.

Responsibilities: The Event Staff will assist with a variety of tasks related to event planning and execution, including but not limited to:

Pre-Event Support:

Helping with the creation and organization of event materials
Assisting with logistical planning, such as floor plans and seating arrangements
Packing and preparing event supplies

On-Site Event Support:

Assisting with event setup and breakdown
Greeting and engaging guests on property during events
Supporting performers, and upholding The Big Chill entertainment standards
Managing audio/video for the property during events
MC and announcements
Troubleshooting on-site issues as they arise
Assisting with crowd control and maintaining a positive event atmosphere.
Capturing pictures and videos during the events to help execute a successful social media plan

Post-Event Support:

Assisting with post-event wrap-up and organization.
Gathering and compiling event feedback.
Assisting with data entry and analysis of event metrics.
Contributing to post-event reports and debriefs.
Organizing and inventorying event equipment.

Qualifications:

Exciting, energetic and positive team member that is passionate in creating a best-in-class guest experience
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Strong situational management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to lift up to [e.g., 25-30] pounds and stand for extended periods during events.

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

THE BIG CHILL is a family-friendly entertainment complex located on historic 30A, nestled between Alys Beach and Seaside. Our venue hosts five restaurants, three bars, retail shops, an amphitheater for live music, and a 25’ LED Jumbotron for sports and movies. We are open year-round from 7am to 10pm. We provide a fun and lively gathering spot for families and friends to enjoy good food and positive vibes!

Uniforms

Upon hire, all team members are issued a complimentary uniform that consists of 2 shirts, 1 hat and 1 name tag. Additional items may be purchased at cost.
Each year on your work anniversary, you will receive another uniform issue of 2 shirts, 1 hat and 1 name tag. Please let your direct supervisor know when it’s time for your anniversary issue.

Shift Meals

All team members receive a complimentary meal up to $20 in value with each shift worked (shift must be 6 hours or more). Please review the team member meal policy section of your handbook for more details on this benefit.

Discounts

All team members receive a 50% discount on items that are not eligible for the shift meal(ice cream, milkshakes, bottled beverages, coffee drinks).
When visiting The Big Chill during time off, all team members receive a 50% discount on all food & beverage purchases (excluding alcoholic beverages)

Bonus Program

Welcome Back Bonus: $100 per year (maximum $500)
